Want to get a better Minecraft experience on Steam Deck or with Gamepads as a whole? This mod is easily possible with the most recent Minecraft versions.

MidnightControls is the new mod. It's a fork from the unmaintained LambdaControls. It's open-source. It has been cleaned up and is now working properly. The Steam Deck support has also been added by the developer who took it on. I have tested it and it works very well. I used the PolyMC launcher for Linux and Steam Deck. How to do this:

1. Lalalalal First, use PolyMC to set Steam Input into Gamepad With Mouse and then set the right trackpad for Left Mouse Click. 2. Open PolyMC, create a new instance, and then set the mod loader for Fabric to Fabric. Click OK. 3. Let It Sing Now hit the View Mods button and then Download Mods. 4. Pick the MidnightLib or MidnightControls Fabric API. 5. Once downloaded, you can now load your Minecraft instance. 6. Go to the Options menu and select Controls.
