Professional, trustworthy and highly recommended! We never used the service from Restoration 1 before. It was the Yelp review that led us to the firm. As the owner of the firm, Georg is very experienced and attentive. We soon scheduled an appointment with him. Georg thoroughly checked the home with professional devices and his experience. Afterwards, he gave me great feedback and advice. More impressively, Georg put the summary in writing with detailed pictures. You can't believe, Georg did all these exams and work without charging us anything. He is one of the best that I have seen in this field. Definitely my top recommended expert in Great DC/VA/MD area. Georg's integrity and experience are both impressive. Highly recommend him to fellow property managers, landlords or owners.
The company has good customer service, however I will not recommend them for the following reasons. -Poor communication, they will ignore your calls and will not respond to you once they get paid - will not provide you with a final report for mold mediation They also use a very dishonest and unethical plumber named Mario. Use someone else
Georg was recommended by a friend. He is very responsive and I was able to make an appointment quickly after I found out I have a mold problem. He showed up on time and was patient enough to check everything and give reasonable quotes for my options. I'd recommend Georg.
I had a small area of mold in my rental condo in Arlington and had difficulty to get lic professional to come and look at it. George was Recomended by an agent but mentioned that he is very busy. My tenant cancelled on him once and the second time George who knew I lived in California called from job site, explained the work, the cost and offered to do the job right then. He saved me time and money and did the job right, I recommend him strongly.
This company is a fraud and Georg is very unprofessional & disrespectful! I am the HOME OWNER, so for you to reply to me in third person shows just how classless you are! I am paying for your mistake LIAR, your person cut a piece of dry wall exactly next to a access panel? BOTH HOA and my contractor disagreed and didn't authorize that work, that I am PAYING for! I tried to reach out as recent as yesterday 6/28/18 to resolve the issue and you refused to contact me back. On Mother's Day you sent me a text message stating what you believe happened but would find out what exactly took place and you NEVER DID! The end result is me contacting the Better Business Bureau on you as of today 6/29/18. You don't care nothing about the customer, Thanks for the poor work that was done in my new townhouse! No new homeowner should feel this way! Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS COMPANY!

George and his team were absolutely responsive- called him at 7AM and he arrived by the afternoon to provide an estimate for my flooded basement. I was up all night trying to mitigate the flood damage and in retrospect, should have just called him earlier. His team and equipment took care of the mess and the basement was dry in 2.5 days. The estimate and bill were detailed down to the sq. foot of the damage and type of remediation done. We had water in our basement and an oder that would not dissipate. We called George of Restoration 1 and he came out the same day and provided great service. We did NOT have mold and he was generous enough to give us practical advice on how to mediate the smells. He confirmed that the original company we hired did all the right things and that, in time, the smells would go away with the air scrubbers etc... that we were using. George is amazing. He's knowledgable and honest. He told us exactly what we should be doing to alleviate the smells. Upon leaving, he refused to give us a bill. He is a rare find in the world of service contractors and we will definitely call him again. We cannot recommend him more highly. What an incredible guy! Thank you George for your integrity and competence!

He did us a favor with our small mold spot in our ceiling. He was kind enough to cut it out for free, considering we are a bunch of college students. He also recommended some plumbers that he trusted to help us with the leak he discovered. He was very personable and was able to explain to us everything he was doing. We would highly recommend him to anyone!
George from Restoration 1 is fantastic! He was prompt, courteous, and thoroughly investigated the problem using state of the art technology. He provided an accurate quote at a reasonable price. They did the work in a timely manner and the technician was very personable and courteous. I would HIGHLY recommend Restoration 1
George answered the phone at 1:30 am when my basement flooded. He immediately gave me the name of a plumber who came out at 3am to install a new sump pump. Restoration 1 crews were at my house the next morning with machines, dehumidifies, fans and muscle to get my basement cleaned up. TD and Kyle were very professional and asked several times if I had any questions about anything they were doing. They continued to come out a couple times a day to move furniture, haul items outside and re-adjust their equipment. They are a TRUE 24 hour service ! I called 3 competitors who claimed to have 24 hour service and NO ONE even called back in 24 hours let alone had the mess cleaned up! I am very impressed and would recommend Restoration 1 to anyone who needs their services! George and his team are fantastic!
Georg and Kyle (I believe that was his name) were great. I had a small amount of mold along the baseboards of my bathroom that I was renovating. They were very flexible with scheduling, honest, and reasonable. Little did we know that underneath the tile that needed to come up as part of the renovation, and to check damage to subfloor from failed toilet wax ring (which Georg discovered and I had no idea), there was a 3/4 inch thick slab of concrete. Kyle spent 3 hours sledging away non stop until we were at bare subfloor. Great work- did what they said they were going to do with no strings attached.
Georg was helpful in our time of need. We had a water pipe burst in our basement which quickly flooded with about 1-2" of water. He was there within two hours to start the drying process. His machines are top of the line and ran for three days. He helped us navigate the insurance claim process and recorded everything on his end. He was thorough and friendly during the entire process.
Mr. Schwarz and his crew were wonderful to work with. He was very professional and courteous. I not only spoke with him over the phone several times but also by email. He responded promptly to every question i had and explained the process to me. I highly recommend him and his company for mold detection and cleanup. Definitely 5 stars! in Service and price!

Certainly miscommunication occurred. We are not the home owner, but were in fact bound to the HOA who contracted with us. We tried advocating on behalf of the purchaser of the property, communicated with her via phone throughout the process including on Mother's Day at 10pm to explain the HOA's stand, and in the end remediate the existing mold successfully.
