My Dad was, and still is, a useful guy. Growing up, he would often give me odd jobs to do on the farm that seemed very unrealistic to achieve—at least to my ten-year-outdated self!

He did not give me these jobs to toughen me up or assist develop character. Nope. They needed to be done. I was offered. Tag, I was it to do them.

1 summer our lawn mower broke down and the front lawn grass was acquiring prolonged. In Dad’s infinite wisdom, he place me to process by delegating me to “cut” the lawn.

Currently being the dutiful daughter that I was and trying to hide the incredulous search I desperately desired to give him, I took this curved monstrosity from his hands and acquired to perform.
